Encourage hosts several events throughout the year as we work to connect our existing foster and foster-to-adopt families with the resources and support they need while also seeking out new families to add to our network. These include foster parent prep courses (formerly called pre-service trainings) for new families, monthly virtual info sessions, ongoing online and in person foster parent trainings, and more. Check back here often for new trainings!

Virtual Info Sessions

Encourage offers free virtual foster parent information sessions on a monthly basis. If you have any interest in becoming a foster parent, but you don't know where to start or have questions you want to ask, join Heather Huebner, recruiter and engagement specialist, for an informal virtual info session. If you have any questions about virtual info sessions, please contact Heather Huebner at 330.462.1118 or huebnerh@ccho.org.
